Signups
Final signups for the 2012 season are in the Christ the King Parish Hall, Monday February 6, during the parent meeting (starts at 6:45)
Please bring the following to signups:
- A checkbook to pay for registration and a uniform, and to leave a second volunteer deposit check
- The t-shirt size for each of the athletes being enrolled. A team t-shirt is our uniform
- A copy of the child's birth certificate that you can leave with us. We need to have a certificate on file with the diocese
- Your calendar to record your volunteer assignments
Forms are available online and at signups.
Fees for the 2012 season are:
- $50 volunteer deposit per family, cashed only if you do not complete your volunteer time
- $70 enrollment per athlete
- $10 T-shirt, if you need one (per athlete)
- $30 sweatshirt, if you want one (parents can order, too!)
The families of all enrolled athletes are required to work a certain number of "shifts" at each meet. Each meet is divided into a morning and afternoon shift. You are welcome to "double-up" and work both shifts in a meet to fulfill your requirements as needed. See the schedule page to plan what meets will work best for you. Shifts and jobs are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis at team signup night.
Most meet jobs are learn-as-you-go. If you can tell time, or use a measuring tape, or write your child's name, you are well-prepared for a meet job! A full track meet takes approximately 100 volunteers to run smoothly and quickly. All families are required to sign up for a shift at the mini-meet. This is a training meet for the parents and new athletes, to see how it all fits together.
