Christ the King CYO Track & Field
Welcome! We are a CYO track program for second through eighth grade athletes in the Pleasant Hill/Martinez/Walnut Creek area. Out team combines boys and girls from the Christ the King, St. Catherine, and St. Stephen parishes. We compete in the Diablo Valley Catholic League, which is Section 1 of the Oakland Diocese.
Our practice season begins in February, and meets take place on Saturdays from March through early May. Signups are held in January. Elementary and middle-school athletes living within the boundaries of the three parishes, or who attend the school or religious education programs are eligible to participate on our team.

Need Shoes?
All athletes should wear a good pair of running shoes for practices and meets. Track shoes (with spikes) are not required, or in many cases recommended. You can get running shoes just about anywhere, but there are some local stores that offer discounts to team families:
College Park "Spike Night" at Road Runner Sports in Concord
Road Runner sports is helping out the College Park track team by sponsoring a "spike night" for their athletes. It's Thursday, March 21 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Here's a flyer with all the details. Just showing up and signing in can help College Park, and there's a lot of stuff on sale besides spikes. Our program feeds into all the area high schools including College Park, so you're not only helping the high school, you're also making sure that there's a track program when our athletes graduate out of CYO.
Offers available right now are:
- Sports Basement in Walnut Creek has a 10% e-coupon for your total purchase
- Athletic Outpost in Walnut Creek also offers a 10% to CYO athletes
- Fleet Feet Sports in Pleasant Hill offers 20% to youth athletes on area teams: be sure to mention you're with the "Christ the King track team"
